Starting Strong: A Beginning Guide to the Christian Journey
Sundays, April 15 – May 20
8:30-9:30 a.m.
Get a strong start to your Christian journey! Are you new to the Christian faith? Join us as we explore the basics of Christianity. The key to starting strong as a Christian is to know the basics well and learn to apply them to everyday life. When we come to the point of realizing that Jesus really is who the Bible says he is — the Son of God — he enters our lives and amazing things happen.
We will meet in room W1 on Sunday mornings. Childcare will be available in room A.
There is no fee for this study but registration is required at chapel.org/register. Registration is available March 26 through April 11. Registration will be closed on April 12. Please contact palatinewomen[at]chapel[dot]org if you have any questions.
Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl
Wednesdays, April 11 – May 16
9 – 11 a.m.
“I really want to know God, personally and intimately.” Those words of author Lysa TerKeurst mirror the feelings of countless women. They're tired of just going through the motions of being a Christian: Go to church. Pray. Be nice. That spiritual to-do list just doesn't cut it.
Come join us as we learn how to be more than a good bible study girl and truly learn how to find an incredible joy as we live out our faith in everyday circumstances.
Register online at chapel.org/register.
Childcare will be available for all morning sessions at a cost of $24 per child for the entire six-week study.
Registration must be completed and payment submitted by April 7 to secure a spot for your child. For safety reasons as well as space limitations, childcare walk-ins the day of the study cannot be accommodated.
Partial and full scholarships are available. If you have any general questions about the study or would like to inquire about scholarships, please call 847.281.3444 or email barringtonwomen[at]chapel[dot]org.
The Sacred Echo: Why is prayer so mysterious?
Wednesdays, April 4 – May 16
9 – 11 a.m.
When we pray, does God answer? Was that God's voice, or my own? When God really wants to get your attention, he doesn’t just say something once, he echoes. He speaks through a Sunday sermon, a chance conversation with a friend the next day, and even a random email. The same theme, idea, impression, or lesson will repeat itself in surprising and unexpected ways.
In “The Sacred Echo”, Margaret Feinberg provides Biblical and practical teaching that will offer a fresh perspective on our interactions with God through prayer. This seven-week study will be offered at the Libertyville campus. Study guides will be distributed at the first session.
Please register online at chapel.org/register. For more information or to inquire about scholarships please email libertyvillewomen[at]chapel[dot]org.
Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted, by Priscilla Shirer
Wednesdays, April 11 - May 23
7 - 9 p.m.
As we look back on the big picture of life, it's easy to see how God worked things together for good. But wouldn't it be great if we could embrace the challenging times instead of running from them, like Jonah did?
Join us for this seven-week study as we learn how to change our perspective when interruptions happen.
Please register online at chapel.org/register. For questions or to inquire about a scholarship, please email libertyvillepmwomen[at]chapel[dot]org or call 847.281.3444.

When God’s People Pray
Tuesdays, April 17 – May 22
9 – 11 a.m. or 7 – 9 p.m.
Prayer can change lives and circumstances like nothing else can. What are the keys that unlock its power, that turn prayer from a mere activity into a vital link with God and all his resources?
In “When God’s People Pray”, Jim Cymbala shows us truths about what the Holy Spirit can do when believers get serious about prayer and the Gospel. Cymbala tells how God moves in life-changing ways when we set aside our own agendas, take him at his Word, and listen for his voice. See God at work in the moment.
