Child Dedication
The Bible tell us that children are a gift from God and that he wants them to grow up learning about him and how much he loves them. During a child dedication service, parents promise to honor God's desire in three ways:
Direction:
Parents promise to lead and train their children in the ways of God.
Devotion:
Parents promise to give their children’s life path to God.
Dependence:
Parents promise to depend on God’s grace, love, and power in raising their children.
During the child dedication service, each family (immediate family members only) will go onstage, one family at a time. One of the pastors will pray for your family. The pastor will then ask all the parents if they commit to the Dedication Covenant, which they will respond to affirmatively. Each family also will receive a child dedication certificate with their child’s name.
To sign up for the child dedication service, please fill out and submit the online form or use the printed form and send it to The Chapel by mail. Also, photos of your child for a video montage used during the service must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event along with your sign-up form.
