Chapel Attender Heading to Mission Field

Posted November 18, 2009 Chapel Attender Heading to Mission Field

Growing up in The Chapel gave Tamsen Gylleck a solid foundation for her spiritual growth, but her experiences going on mission trips with The Edge, The Chapel's high school ministry, also gave her a new perspective on her role in missions.

“I realized that missions is a lifestyle; it’s something that you do every day,” Tamsen said. “I learned from those trips that God made us to serve and be obedient in everything.”

Tamsen, 20, is now taking those lessons and applying them to a new adventure in her life. In January, she will leave for Nantes, France to begin a 16-month assignment as part of her training at Bethany College of Missions. Tamsen will study French and work with and support the local church and missionaries in a country that has a less than 10 percent resident evangelical witness.

Tamsen asked for prayer as she works to raise support and also that God would soften and prepare the hearts of the people in France with whom she will share the Good News. If you would like to support Tamsen with your prayers and receive updates on her adventure, you can write to her or go to her blog.
